Our KS2 class recently enjoyed a fantastic trip to Parkanaur alongside Blessed Patrick Primary School as part of the Speedwell programme, focusing on team building and shared education.
The children took part in an active and exciting day, navigating the forest through orienteering challenges that encouraged problem-solving, communication and cooperation. Working in mixed teams, they also had the task of building a bridge to help them cross safely to the other side, sharing ideas and supporting one another throughout.
One of the highlights of the day was the trust activity, where pupils worked together to guide their blindfolded friends around the forest. This required clear communication, teamwork and plenty of encouragement.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable day that helped build friendships, confidence and teamwork skills, all while making great memories outdoors.
