To bring our Viking topic to a spectacular finish, we channelled our inner warriors in Art as we created our very own clay Viking heads with Miss Freeburn!
After weeks of exploring Viking life, raids, settlements and mythology, it was time to get creative. Using clay, we carefully shaped fierce expressions, detailed helmets and flowing beards, paying close attention to texture and design. We used a range of sculpting techniques, pinching, smoothing and carving to add realistic features and intricate patterns inspired by our research.
The classroom was full of concentration and excitement as our Viking characters began to take shape. Each head has its own personality, from brave raiders to battle-ready warriors! ⚔️
