On Tuesday 4th June, Year 1 and 2 travelled to Belfast Zoo. We had a busy day! Firstly we attended an education workshop where John the Zoo Keeper told us lots of facts about different animals from around the world. He showed us some special animals. We got to hold a stick insect, a snake called Sasha and even got to pet an African pygmy hedgehog. After eating our yummy lunch, we enjoyed visiting lots of interesting animals. We saw lions, giraffes, zebras and elephants and even some more unusual creatures such as lemurs and warthogs! We had a wonderful time visiting Belfast Zoo and finding out about the fascinating animals we share our planet with.
